I am a professional geek with a knack for performance tuning and securing large scale web applications. I’m an avid Linux and open source user, but I also believe in using the right tool for the job. I like the concepts of zanshin and kaizen. My hobbies include tinkering with old cars, steganography, coaching archery, and practicing tai chi and qi gong.

I am the consummate tinkerer. I do this simply because I want to know how things work. I’m continually pushing myself to learn new things. In my professional career, I’ve worked as a system administrator and a network administrator focusing primarily on internet and security technologies. I’m currently an IT director working in an industrial environment.
