Pleasant Surprises

I’ve had the new-to-me W8 for a few weeks now.  I’ve been slowly cleaning up the car each weekend. I wanted to do something with the black trim and rocker panels so I made a trip over to Parts City Auto Parts in Pegram. This was the first time that I’ve been to that store. It’s a small store, and they did not have what I was originally hoping to get. I was looking for a plastic dye to re-tint the faded plastic, but I was not able to find any. I picked up Mother’s Back-to-Black as a temporary measure. I was not sure how well the Back-to-Black would work since I had been used to re-tinting faded trim. The treatment did a surprisingly good job of restoring the original dark color. I’m not sure how long the effects will last. I guess I’ll be finding out pretty soon. We should be getting the baking sun fairly soon.
